After last year’s cancellation, “A Cazimero Christmas” returns to the Hawaii Theatre for three performances December 10 through 12.

(The annual offering was cancelled in 2009 due to the hospitalization of Roland Cazimero for a bout of pneumonia.)

“The line up for this year’s holiday offering,” said brother Robert, “reflects a theme (theater general manager) Burton White and I have been working with, ‘Christmas is…’ For us, like many, Christmas is family, friends, faith and folly, and we will have it all at the Hawaii Theatre this December!”

Special guest will be Loretta Ables Sayre, who recently ended her two-year Broadway run as Bloody Mary in Lincoln Center’s revival of “South Pacific.”

“A Cazimero Christmas” will also include family members brother Rodney “Tiny” Cazimero and sister Kanoe “Tootsie” Cazimero,” along with honorary “third brother” and hula dancer Leina‘ala Kalama Heine.

Hula will be also be spotlighted as the Miss Keiki Hula and Master Keiki Hula for both 2009’s and 2010’s Queen Lili‘uokalani Keiki Hula Competitions will join Robert Cazimero’s Halau Na Kamalei O Lililehua and the Ladies of the Royal Dance Company in the festivities.

The show will run 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, and Saturday, Dec. 11; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12.
