“It’s not the years, it’s the mileage,” moaned Indiana Jones in one of his best lines. At least Indy is a movie character, not a car. All those scratches and dents and dings that “Raiders of the Lost Ark” has picked up since it was released in 1981 have since been digitally erased, the color restored and the soundtrack cleaned up.

By public acclamation, “Raiders” is the next Consolidated “Hana Hou Picture Show” presentation. It screens at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Oct. 3 in the swank TitanXC venue at the Consolidated Ward 16 Theaters. Admission is $14.25.

Last week, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas hosted a special 30th anniversary screening of the film in Hollywood, premiering the restored version.

This screening is actually a bonus “Hana Hou,” because the high-defintion files of “Raiders” just became available for screening. The regular October “Hana Hou” screening will be Oct. 24, with a spooky Halooween theme. So far the public votes are narrowed down to “Gremlins,” “Ghostbusters,” “Aliens” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” Which is your favorite? Let Consolidated know!
