Stopping by to say hi to one of my besties, model and Kauai native, Brittney Valverde; she took us to visit the “Blue Room,” and take a dip in the ocean at Hanikapiai where we spotted famous couple Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet.

The sun was setting, a cooling breeze came from the Na Pali mountains, and a slight mist rose from the ocean. It was the perfect ending to a quick getaway.

Back on the island by Monday. the highlight of the day was lunch at the Rokkaku Restaurant at Ala Moana Center. The traditional Japanese lunch menu included tempura selections, teishoku, curry, and various donburi specials. The contemporary interior, innovative take on traditional Japanese seating (tatami matted rooms), and prime location makes this restaurant a great place to grab a nice meal. The price is a little on the expensive side ($15-25 for lunch meals), but the convenience and quality felt worth it.

With new restaurant suggestions, a great gig, vintage finds, and some dancing; this was another great weekend here in Honolulu. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, hope you can check out some of these fun finds.  Also, I’m still looking for “Industry Nights” in Honolulu, so if your venue is offering something for the industry, please send me an email.

Until next week!

Lacy
