Melissa Etheridge returns to Hawaii in July

Tickets are on sale now for a pair of concerts by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge on Oahu and Maui in July, according to promoter Tom Moffatt.

Etheridge, who won Grammys in 1993 and 1995 for “Ain’t it Heavy” and “Come to My Window,” respectively, has released a dozen albums since her self-titled debut in 1988. Her latest, “Icon,” was released last year. She made her first concert appearance on Oahu in 2002 and last performed here in 2008.

Tickets for Ethridge’s July 23 concert at the Blaisdell Concert Hall and July 24 appearance at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Castle Theater are priced from $35 to $100; purchase tickets for the Oahu show at the Blaisdell Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at (800) 745-8000 and online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Tickets for the Maui concert are currently available to MACC members only and may be purchased at the MACC Box Office, by phone at (808) 242-7469 and online at www.mauiarts.org. The general public may buy tickets starting Saturday, March 24.
