Quick Bites: Stage anniversary, ‘Eat the Street,’ Cactus
STAGE IS 5: Stage Restaurant at the Honolulu Design Center is offering a “2 for 1″ dinner special to celebrate its fifth birthday, offering a 50 percent discount on all food items.
Stage’s menu, created by executive chef Ron De Guzman, offers entrees including a home-style meatloaf made of Angus beef, cedar plank New Zealand king salmon, pan-roasted Shelton Farms chicken, sous vide of pork tenderloin and more. Prices range from $23 to $32.
Dessert includes a Vietnamese-style coffee flan, cotton candy du jour and Manjari chocolate toffee pudding cake.

EAT THE STREET KAPOLEI: The food truck street fair is heading to Kapolei — for real, this time.
Originally scheduled for January, the first Eat the Street Kapolei is now scheduled for 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Kapolei High School football field.

CACTUS OPENING: The sign is up and the tables and chairs are in at chef John Memering’s long-awaited Cactus restaurant in Kailua.
Cactus is expected to open Monday. Expect an eclectic menu offering Latin-inspired cuisine using seasonal produce from Hawaii’s farms and ocean, along with handcrafted salumi and sausages, house-made cheeses and preserved fruits.
