Cirque du Soleil cast members settle in isles before performing in the colorful ‘Quidam’
Hawaii is a special place for many reasons, but for the cast of Cirque du Soleil – “Quidam,” opening Thursday at Blaisdell Arena, one of the most important reasons is the islands’ geographical isolation. The many truckloads of equipment required to stage “Quidam” have to come out here by ship and then be shipped back. That’s a week or so each way, and that means that the cast and crew have been enjoying time off here while the gear is on the way.
