When “Hawaii Five-0″ returns to CBS for its fourth season this fall, it won’t be on Monday nights.

The network announced today the show will replace “CSI: NY” on Fridays, opening up a Monday time slot for the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced “Hostages” starring Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott.

The move also includes a time change, with “Five-0″ airing at 8 p.m. in Hawaii between “Undercover Boss” and cop drama “Blue Bloods,” which stars former “Magnum P.I.” star Tom Selleck.

“Hawaii Five-0″ executive producer Peter Lenkov remained upbeat on Twitter, telling followers to “celebrate we got picked up” and “continue to show up and we’ll be around for a LONG time.”

The move to Fridays was also a “chance (for) more live eyes,” he said.

where’s Danno ? at the lunchwagon..caterer from the mainland

Hopefully Danno is gone. They need someone else in that slot other than that little arrogant no name actor with his cocky little man’s attitude. If his name wasn’t Caan he wouldn’t even be around.

Part of me loves this idea (no being sleep deprived the next day) but part of me is afraid that this is a death knell for the show. The Monday pre-H50 line up stunk which I think added to the low ratings each week. I know Blue Bloods does well in it’s 10 pm time slot on Friday night so I’m being optimistic that adding H5-0 will only strenghten the ratings and we’ll gain lots of new viewers!! I don’t want to think that, on the other hand, H5-0 will loose viewers because it’s Friday night and who’s home @ 9pm on a Fridy night (besides me most times and that’s why I don’t mind the move. BTW, I love Blue Bloods)??
But where H50 goes I will follow! Always and forever!!

The beginning of the end–Friday is the place TV shows go to die. Totally lost interest after the first season. If they don’t cancel it, please kill Kono off.

wow, love how ppl forget all the good things Scott Caan said about & did/does on Oahu over a Comedy Late Night Show.

Oh, btw. Actors/Actresses who come from parents with quite a name in Hollywood have to work TWICE as hard to make a name for themselves & have it stick. Hate to tell you this, he already had success before the show. There’s a very good reason why TPTB wanted & fought for him.

As it is Five-0 without Scott wouldn’t be Five-O. Since I’ve no impact on the ratings as it is, I wish the Show a long life on Friday. Aloha!
