A day after students at Roosevelt High School went into lockdown, the school’s gym was off limits for a different reason — filming an upcoming episode of CBS television show “Hawaii Five-0.”

Counselors were on hand this morning at the Makiki campus to help students, parents and staff who may be feeling distressed or uneasy after police shot a 17-year-old runaway who threatened officers with a knife on campus Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Students were sent home early after the lockdown was lifted a few hours later.

According to CBS, Roosevelt’s gym was used today for a segment featuring “Five-0″ star Chin Ho Kelly, portrayed by Daniel Dae Kim. Filming was scheduled to take all day and would not involve any students or action scenes, such as shootings.

Earlier today, “Five-0″ writer/producer Christina M. Kim posted a number of images from the set to her Twitter account, including one of Kim plucking the strings of a bass guitar between takes.
