Multi-platinum recording artists Fall Out Boy will rock Aloha Stadium during halftime of the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl on Jan. 26, the league announced today, Jan. 17.
The pop punk band from Wilmette, Ill., will play their recent hit, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” as well as their breakthrough single, “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down,” accompanied by a card stunt, Hawaiian drummers, fire knife dancers and NFL cheerleaders.
A leader of the emo punk trend of the mid-2000s, Fall Out Boy rose to fame with their 2005 album, “From Under the Cork Tree,” which included the hits “Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down” and “Dance, Dance.” They’ve continued to be one of the most popular rock bands around, with last year’s “Save Rock and Roll” — the group’s fifth studio album — debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200.
The Pro Bowl, including the halftime show, will be televised live on NBC.
Tickets for the game are available at the Aloha Stadium box office, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Jan. 26.
