COMEDY THROWDOWN AT MARKS: As part of Walk About Wednesdays in Chinatown, The ARTS at Marks Garage, 1159 Nuuanu Ave., will host a Comedy Throwdown with local improv group On the Spot. The weekly comedy show starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Call (808) 521-2903.

WAIKIKI AQUARIUM TURNS 110: Celebrate the Waikiki Aquarium’s 110th birthday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday; highlights include a performance by the Royal Hawaiian Band at 9:30 a.m., an aquarium built entirely of LEGO, unveiling of a new medallion machine, monk seal-abration presentations, a marine-themed exhibit by Iolani School art students, a historical look back at the aquarium and plans for its future, birthday cake and samples from Hard Rock Cafe (while supplies last), and educational activities sponsored by Coastal Restoration Project, Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture Plant Quarantine Brance, Lepotoseris Project, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Pacific Islands Ocean Observing System and Welina Manoa.

Admission is $1.10 all day. The Waikiki Aquarium is located at 2777 Kalakaua Ave. Call (808) 923-9741.
