‘BIG PINEAPPLE’ OPENING RECEPTION: Local photographer and printmaker Travis Sasaki will host an opening reception for his latest exhibit, “Big Pineapple,” from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Brue Bar, 119 Merchant St. There will be light pupus and cocktails available; the exhibit will be on display through the month of April. ANIME IN CINEMA: Catch “Tiger and Bunny the Movie: The Rising” as part of Ward Theatre’s Anime in Cinema series. The film is set in a world where superheroes fight crime and serve as reality-TV stars. Two heroes have a falling out, but must overcome their differences to foil a new threat.
