EAT THE STREET TURNS JAPANESE: Monthly food truck festival Eat the Street will feature a Japanese theme from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, with over 40 food and drink vendors in the parking lot at 555 South St. Admission is free; call (808) 772-3020 or visit streetgrindz.com.

ARTAFTERDARK GOES PERSIAN: The Honolulu Museum of Art’s monthly party presents “Roshan Institute Noruz,” a celebration of Persian New Year with Persian poetry, cultural displays, food, belly dancing, paper mache art activity and Persian art gallery tours. 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at 900 S. ALIEN ANT FARM: ’90s alternative rockers Alien Ant Farm are back on the road, and they’ll be in Honolulu on Friday for an unplugged set with local openers the Knumbskulls at Crossroads at Hawaiian Brians on Friday. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets: $20. Call (808) 946-1343.

HAVE A HEART: The annual I HeART the Ocean Fundraiser will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Waikiki Aquarium, 2777 Kalakaua Ave. Highlights include a marine debris fashion show; entertainment by Dread Ashanti, Raw Suga and Jason Laeha; and food and drink by Miso and Ale, Kona Brewing Company and Barefoot Wines.
