‘PAGLIACCI’ AND ‘CARMINA BURANA’ FINISH RUN: It’s your last chance to catch Hawaii Opera Theatre’s “Pagliacci” and “Carmina Burana” featuring BodyVox on Tuesday, with HOT hosting a pau hana party at the Honolulu Club that will migrate to the Blaisdell Concert Hall for the 7 p.m. performance.
Pau hana starts at the Honolulu Club at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday with live music, drinks and pupu. Everyone at the pau hana will then sit together in “some of the greatest seats in the house.” Normal seats for the performance are $29 to $125, but pau hana attendees only pay $40 — and that’s for both the pau hana event and the show itself!
In addition, guests can upgrade to the “very best” seats for $35 more. Visit eventbrite.com to purchase tickets.
BRING ME THE HORIZON: Catch British metalcore group Bring Me the Horizon at The Republik in an all-ages show that starts at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
With lead vocalist Oliver Sykes, Bring Me the Horizon has evolved since its start in 2004, morphing from a primarily deathcore band to an eclectic metalcore band that is more melodic. Just last year, keyboardist Jordan Fish joined the band full time.
The band released its fourth full-length album, “Sempiternal,” in 2013 via RCA Records and saw it top the rock charts in Australia and the United Kingdom; it peaked at No. 11 on the U.S. Billboard 200.
Tickets for the concert are $29; The Republik is located at 1349 Kapiolani Blvd. Call (855) 235-2867 or visit flavorus.com.
TRUE TONE TUESDAYS: Pulse blogger Erin Smith and Maria Remos will play acoustic sets during True Tone Tuesdays from 8 to 10 p.m. at Downbeat Lounge, 42 N. Hotel St. No cover; call (808) 533-2328.
