TAXES GOT YOU DOWN?: Sing your tax days blues away at Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu and you could get a free meal. From 5 to 7 p.m. Maleko from Star 101.9 will host an open mic event where customers just need to select their favorite song and perform the entire song on stage to receive a free dinner entrée from Hard Rock’s menu.

TRUE TONE TUESDAYS: Downbeat Lounge’s singer songwriter showcase features Jim Hubbard and James McCarthy, 8 to 10 p.m. The lounge is located at 42 N. Hotel St. No cover.

MEET AL GORE: The former vice president will give a public lecture on climate change, 7 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center. Part of the Stephen and Marylyn Pauley Seminars in Sustainability series. The event is free however, tickets are required for entrance and can be picked up at the center’s box office, the UH Campus Center ticket office, or ordered online through etickethawaii.com for a $1 service fee. Doors open at 5 p.m. Call 956-7410.
