ENJOY DANCING AND MUSIC AT MEDICI’S, A NEW VENUE AT MANOA MARKETPLACE.

Medici’s, a new venue for music at the Manoa Marketplace, presents its debut performance Friday with all-around jazz musician Pierre Grill and jazz violinist Duane Padilla.

Located upstairs in The Manoa School of Art & Music, Medici’s has an intimate, salon-type feel, with a wood floor for dancing and small booths for mingling and people-watching. Light pupus and pizza will be available; it’s also BYOB.

Grill is a music producer and performer who plays keyboards and brass (sometimes at the same time). Padilla is a classically trained violinist who has become an accomplished jazz artist in the last few years. Medici proprietors Tim and Carolyn Stanton also promise several notable jazz artists will drop by.

Friday’s show begins at 8 p.m. and is scheduled to last until midnight. Cover is is $20 general admission and $10 for students and seniors.
