PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS: Los Angeles hip-hop duo Thes One and Double K — better known as People Under the Stairs — perform at The Republik, 1349 Kapiolani Blvd. on Thursday with local openers The Deadbeats.
Formed in 1997, “The P” (as they’re called by fans) has released all their albums independently and have done all the sampling, MCing, DJing and producing of all their music. Their ninth full-length album, “12 Step Program,” was released earlier this month.
8 p.m. $25-$30. All ages with adult. (855) 235-2867, flavorus.com.
“A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST”: While families will flock to see “Maleficent” in theaters this week, adults seeking a laugh are sure to find a few in Seth MacFarlane’s latest R-rated comedy that features a star-studded cast, including the “Family Guy” creator himself, Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson.
Will this film live up to MacFarlane’s first movie, “Ted,” or will it be DOA? See it at 8 p.m. Thursday at Consolidated Theatres Mililani, Pearlridge West, Koolau and Koko Marina, or Regal Cinemas at Dole Cannery, Pearl Highlands and Windward Mall.
ARE YOU A BELIEVER?: Theresa Caputo, psychic medium and star of TLC’s “Long Island Medium,” comes to the Blaisdell Concert Hall as part of her Theresa Caputo Live! The Experience tour on Thursday.
Who knows, you just might make contact with a being from beyond the veil — if you believe in that sort of thing. Learn more about Caputo here.
The first night of a two-night engagement (second show Friday); limited tickets available. 7:30 p.m. $39.75-$89.75. (866) 488-7849, ticketmaster.com.
