Love postpones Honolulu concert

Iconic female rocker Courtney Love’s Aug. 26 concert in Honolulu has been postponed.

Promoter BAMP Project cites the ever-popular “scheduling conflict” as the reason for pushing back the show in a post on its website, telling fans to “stay tuned for the announcement of a new show date soon.”

Those who don’t want to wait can receive a refund for their tickets at the original point of purchase.

Starting with Hole in 1989, Love has been an indelible part of the American rock landscape for 25 years. She’s worked as a solo artist for more than a decade, although Hole did resurface with a new lineup and album in 2010.

Love, who is also an accomplished actress and author, recently released a new single, “You Know My Name.”

Sad close to an even sadder tour. Courtney’s star-power faded a decade ago. Sadly for her, there’s little market for skills at any high-paying level. There’s little market (historically and presently) for elderly actresses. Ones who are hard to work with and one-dimensional – there’s no work. Having the best manager in the industry can’t fix those facts….. “if they’d even take you on.” Hope she has a 401k plan or nice nest egg for retirement.
