New menu at Gordon Biersch: The brewery restaurant at Aloha Tower Marketplace has new dishes to explore. Try the lobster and shrimp mac ’n’ cheese, gruyere pancetta pizza, farmhouse frisee salad or chocolate budino cake, to name a few. The legendary garlic fries are still on the menu. Call 599-4877.
Go for the green: Have you wondered whether kale drinks were too healthy to be tasty? Jamba Juice is offering a “Green Is Good” challenge at all Hawaii locations: Buy one of the new kale smoothies, and if the taste doesn’t appeal to you, swap it for another smoothie of equal or lesser value.
Special menus at 12th Ave Grill: The eatery at 1120 12th Ave. is offering special dishes to celebrate Fat Tuesday and Chinese New Year. On Fat Tuesday, dive into Cajun steamed Louisiana crawfish, blackened Hawaiian fresh catch or chocolate-filled beignets. Then celebrate Chinese New Year on Thursday with Szechuan pepper-steamed Hawaiian moi with house-made lup cheong garlic rice or almond-mango bread pudding. Reserve a table at 732-9469.

Freebie: Wingstop is celebrating its two new restaurants with a Take 5 special. Customers can receive five free classic or boneless wings from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 28 at either location. Kanpai: Art and Sushi: Enjoy a night of beer and sushi, 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 28 at Bar 35, 35 N.
