Cinco celebration: The fun is starting early at Restaurant Row with a free block party, as OOSPOT & Alma Latina Productions present the annual Cinco de Mayo Hispanic Celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Food trucks and booths will offer local, Mexican and Puerto Rican food and seasonal specialties. Among the offerings: nachos, spicy chili con queso, tamales and horchata, elotes and pasteles, alongside chicken mole and green rice, Mexican pizza, lamb & chicken biryani, French crepes and cheesecake.

Cantina crawl: On Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo itself, enjoy a “Cinco de Mayo Cantina Crawl,” 5 to 11 p.m. in Chinatown.

La Gran Fiesta will feature food, including tacos at Downbeat Diner; a full Mexican menu at Maria Bonita’s; a Mexican Chocolate & Kahlua Cheesecake at Otto Cake, 841 Bishop St.; Cheesecake Burritos with Strawberry Mango Salsa at Cake Envy; Chicken Mole Verde with Annato Rice ($10) at Grondin French-Latin Kitchen; and a Cocina pop-up restaurant at the corner of Nuuanu and Bethel streets. Mexican-style pop-up dinner: Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach will offer three special dishes on Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hyatt Place’s Gallery Bar, in conjunction with Santacruz Taco Co.: dos tacos ($8), three-cheese nachos ($6-$8) and Costillas Al Pastor ($10-$12), marinated baby back pork ribs.

There also will be Dos Equis and Modelo beer ($6), Li Hing Margarita ($8-$10) and Cadillac Margarita ($9-$11).
