Burger lovers: The World Burger Tour is happening now at Hard Rock Cafe and continues through June 30.
In Waikiki, at 280 Beach Walk, the eatery offers burgers representing Turkey (Bosphorus Burger, with a topping of slow-simmered eggplant salad and a dollop of haydari yogurt sauce), Germany (Schnitzel Burger, with breaded pork schnitzel, smoked bacon and sauerkraut), Guam (spicy Chamorro Burger) and Bolivia (Andean Burger, with fresh avocado slices, cheddar cheese and a pan-fried egg). Burgers come with fries and cost $17.95.Call 955-7383.
The Hard Rock Cafe on Maui, 900 Front St., has burgers representing Guatemala (Marimba Burger, topped with bean spread, Jack and cheddar cheeses, and tortilla straws), Hong Kong (Sweet & Sour Burger, kicked up with grilled pineapple, crunchy fried onions and bell peppers), Manchester (Lancashire Hot Pot Burger consisting of a half-pound lamb patty with caramelized onions and carrots) and Miami (Cuban Burger, with mojo-marinated pulled pork, Swiss cheese and plantains atop its patty). >> At 12th Ave Grill, 1120 12th Ave. in Kaimuki, a pinot noir dinner on Monday celebrates the restaurant’s 12-year anniversary. The evening will start at 6 p.m. with a pupu reception. Dinner dishes, created by chef J. Schoonover, will be paired with wines from Tyler Winery, on California’s central coast. >> Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar at the Waikiki Beach Marriott hosts a dinner with Rajat Parr, partner in Domaine de la Cote, and Evening Land Vineyards at 6 p.m. June 9 in the private dining room. Parr will bring a selection of pinot noirs and chardonnays to be paired with a menu by executive chef Jason Miyasaki focused on locally grown foods. Dishes include duck pastrami, marlin ceviche, king crab porcini linguine, Japan scallop carpaccio, filet mignon and a Granny Smith apple tart. Cost: $88. Reserve at 931-6286.

Price said they like to think “outside the breadbox,” so in addition to traditional pastries expect items like hana pan (the guys’ take on an pan), which features a bean paste on puff pastry.
There also are “adult-flavored” truffles, mousses and doughnuts.
The pair hopes to have “gluten-free” Tuesdays soon offering cookies, coconut macaroons and coconut bread.
