After performances at the now-closed Pipeline Cafe in 2006 and the Waterfront at Aloha Tower in 2009, Grammy Award-winning recording artist Erykah Badu will return to Oahu for a performance at the Blaisdell Concert Hall on March 30.
Digs Hawaii (formerly known as DIG Lifestyles) and Architechs Hawaii have teamed up to present “Soul Sessions: Volume 1″ with Badu and the Cannabinoids, a hip-hop band that incorporates multiple turntables and drum machines in addition to more traditional musical instruments. The performance will be part of Badu’s “Science of Addiction Tour.”
Badu’s latest album, “New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh),” was released in 2010.
Tickets for “Soul Sessions: Volume 1″ are priced from $65 to $200 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at all Ticketmaster outlets on Oahu and the Blaisdell Box Office. Purchase online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (800) 745-3000.
