Going to the Grammys: Weldon Kekauoha

Friday, Feb. 8

11:50 p.m. — Just about ready to go to bed. Our room here at the JW Marriott is beautiful. My lovely wife is fast asleep and I am reflecting on the many people, family and friends who have in some way helped to bring me to this incredible moment in my life. I am humbled as we enter into what I anticipate will be an amazing weekend!

Continue to follow my blog as my wife and I head to the Special Merit Awards and nominees reception at the Wilshire Ebell Theater tomorrow. Of course, I’ll be posting pictures. Aloha!

8:45 p.m. — Just landed in Los Angeles. Heading to Alamo for our car, then checking in at the JW Marriott, LA LIVE!

I eavesdropped on a couple conversations to hear the Grammys as the topic of conversation! The “Grammy buzz” is real! Ooooh…

2:50 p.m. — Made it! Hawaiian Airlines flight #2: HNL to LAX at Gate 27. We’re all checked in and ready to jump on board.

See you in Los Angeles!

2:20 p.m. — Hey guys! I’m at Honolulu International Airport checking in at the Hawaiian Airlines counter. We’re Los Angeles-bound!

Unfortunately, I forgot my lei hulu. Wanted to take a little bit of Hawaii with us. Shucks.

Regardless, I know all of Hawai’i is with us!

12:30 p.m. — The wifey and I are packing now and heading to the airport for our flight to Los Angeles!

I’m super excited anticipating the weekend.
