Switchfoot coming for Maui and Oahu shows

Multi-platinum selling rock band Switchfoot will appear in concert for two dates in March on Maui and Oahu.

The band will perform at the Castle Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on March 22, followed by a more intimate show on Oahu at surfer, The Bar at Turtle Bay Resort two days later on March 24.

Only 210 tickets will be available for purchase for the Oahu concert; both shows are being produced by BAMP Project.

Presale tickets go on sale first via the band’s website on Wednesday, Feb. 15, then additionally at www.mauiarts.org and www.groovetickets.com on Friday, Feb. 17.

Tickets for the Maui show will be $24.50, $29.50 and $56.50 in advance, plus applicable fees. For the Oahu concert, it will be $36 general admission and $56 VIP in advance, plus applicable fees.

One dollar from every ticket sale will go to the Switchfoot BRO-AM Foundation, which has raised almost $500,000 for San Diego-based children’s charities since its inception in 2005.

Switchfoot won a Grammy award for its 2009 album “Hello Hurricane.” The band’s latest album, “Vice Verses,” includes the hit songs “Dark Horses,” “The Original,” “Afterlife” and “The War Inside.”

The band also contributed an exclusive song, “Out of Control,” to the CBS television series “Hawaii Five-0” for use in an October episode, as well as the show’s compilation album.
