Bruno Mars announces world tour

Bruno Mars announced on Wednesday, Feb. 20, that he will embark on an extensive North American and European tour starting in June.
The more important question for Hawaii residents, however, is will “The Moonshine Jungle World Tour” make a stopover in Hawaii?
Mars last performed a triumphant homecoming show at the Blaisdell Arena in December of 2010, one that celebrated his newfound success as a major pop artist. So far, there is no Hawaii date listed on this year’s tour schedule, with North American dates running from June through August, and U.K./European dates from October through November 15.
Mars’ latest album, “Unorthodox Jukebox,” which includes the hit singles “Locked Out of Heaven” and “When I Was Your Man,” the latter of which was Mars’ 10th consecutive single to hit the top 10, continues to establish Mars’ status as the male artist with the longest streak of top 10 hits as a performer since his debut.
Furthermore, the songs places Mars in the history books as the first male artist to simultaneously place two songs in the top 10 since “Just the Way You Are” and “Grenade” doubled up on the chart in Dec. 2010/Jan. 2011.
Mars recently made a memorable appearance at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, fronting an all-star tribute to Bob Marley alongside the likes of Sting, Rihanna, and Ziggy and Damian Marley.
