PICS: TRIPLE CROWN PIPE MASTERS: 2. The final event in the 2012 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing held the key to determining this year’s Association of Surfing Professionals world title. On Dec. 14, Australian surfer Joel Parkinson, 31, clinched both the 2012 Billabong Pipe Masters’ first prize and the ASP world championship — Parkinson’s first for both.
